Axel Springer, one of Germany’s leading media groups, is about to make history. German media group Axel Springer bundled its successful classified platforms into a new subsidiary called Axel Springer Digital Classifieds (ADC) and sold 30 percent of the company to General Atlantic (GA), a U.S. venture capital firm with big exposure to China, for €237 million ($310 million U.S.). Axel Springer and GA will manage ADC as a joint venture, and together “develop it into a leading international classifieds player”, the companies said...
