French general free ads site Ki-trouve.fr has made a bid for the B2B market with the purchase of DirectGrossiste.com and DirectdeStock.com both of which specialists in B2B wholesale, liquidation sales and surplus inventory disposal.

According to recruitment software provider Bullhorn British recruiters are world leaders when it comes to adopting social networks. A survey of 65,000 users showed that 87 per cent of U.K. recruiters post their jobs on LinkedIn, a whisker ahead of the 86 per cent of their Canadian counterparts. 85 per cent of Australians and 84 per cent of American recruiters turned to LinkedIn compared to 75 per cent for the rest of the world.

According to leading financial magazine Stratégies the French general classifieds giant LeBonCoin managed 64 million euros in turnover in 2011 – a growth of 80 per cent on the 36 million of the previous year.
LeBonCoin, sold to Schibsted by Spir in 2010 is now one of the jewels in the Norwegian’s crown and very much a focal point at the annual investors’ day in London in February.

Despite gains across the rest of Europe in the region of ten per cent year on year, the Monster Employment Index suggests that France is seeing a decline in online recruitment.
The Monster Index notes a fall of four per cent over the year, compared to a one per cent fall recorded in January 2011.
